Reservation Policy

Reservation Policy

Ensuring equal opportunities, inclusive education, and strict adherence to the regulatory guidelines of the State Government.

Commitment to Inclusive Education

Narayan Gayatri College of Health Education is deeply committed to providing equitable access to quality healthcare education. Our admission process is transparent, merit-based, and strictly follows the reservation roster and guidelines formulated by the Government of Jharkhand, the Department of Higher and Technical Education, and respective statutory councils (JNRC and PCI). We strive to uplift marginalized and underrepresented communities by ensuring they receive their rightful representation in our academic programs.

Categories for Seat Reservation

A specific percentage of seats in all our diploma programs (ANM, GNM, and D.Pharm) are reserved for eligible candidates belonging to the following categories, as per the prevailing State Government norms:

Scheduled Tribes (ST) & Scheduled Castes (SC) Reserved quota for candidates belonging to recognized ST and SC communities of the state.
Other Backward Classes (OBC) Reservations applicable for BC-I and BC-II (Non-Creamy Layer) categories as notified by the government.
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Dedicated seat allocation for general category students falling under the defined economic threshold.
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Horizontal reservation across all categories for specially-abled candidates, subject to medical fitness for nursing/pharmacy practice.

Guidelines and Document Verification

To avail the benefits of the reservation policy during the admission process, candidates must strictly adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Domicile Requirement: The benefits of state-specific reservations (SC/ST/OBC) are generally applicable only to candidates who hold a valid domicile/residential certificate of Jharkhand. Out-of-state candidates will be treated under the Unreserved (General) category.
  • Valid Certification: Candidates must produce original, valid caste, income, or disability certificates issued by a competent authority (e.g., Circle Officer, SDO, or Deputy Commissioner) at the time of counseling and document verification.
  • Non-Creamy Layer: OBC candidates must provide a current Non-Creamy Layer certificate to claim reservation benefits.
  • Merit within Category: Seat allotment within any reserved category is strictly based on the candidate's merit (academic performance/entrance score) among the applicants in that specific category.
Important Note:

The reservation percentages and specific rules are subject to change as per amendments made by the State Government, Statutory Councils, or directives from the Hon'ble Courts. Narayan Gayatri College of Health Education reserves the right to modify the admission roster in compliance with the latest official gazettes and notifications without prior individual notice.
